I like to stay up late and bathe in the flickering of pop culture. Chocolate is one of my daily food groups. Imagine a mix between The Office and New Girl, and you pretty much get my personality. My advice to everyone is to do everything in love. I believe there is beauty in the highs and the lows that we go through in life. I love to capture perfect moments in the best way they can be remembered—to leave a little light everywhere I go.
I have always wanted a way to bring light into the world. My business started when my best friend had me take some photos for her and it showed me the light I could capture. I want everyone to see the light in their lives too. So 6 years later, here I am still capturing love and light.
My business is not only about capturing those moments most remembered but about capturing the journey and the story of the love and relationships in your life. It is seeing and capturing the beauty in all the things that life throws at us. It is choosing to view every moment with a rose-tinted lens, while acknowledging life isn't always fair and just. Rogue State Photography is about viewing the world through a different lens, a more colorful, bright, and heartfelt lens.

My Experience
Let me tell you a little more about my experience and what I have to offer outside of my personality and outlook on life.
In my career, I have logged well over 100 hours of wedding photography, and numerous hours with some beautiful families. I have crafted beautiful images in gorgeous fields at sunset, between buildings in the busy city, and under umbrellas in the rain.
Each year I make a point of scheduling hours to continue my education, through workshops and working with other established photographers. This is how I keep up with industry standards and build an experience that I know you will love, and create images that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Being a mom is one of my favorite hats that I have been blessed to wear. Growing up with many siblings and some pretty cool brothers - being a boy mom is in my blood.
My husband is my best friend and my world. We instantly fell in love when we met, it is one of my favorite stories to tell.
In addition to our tiny human, we also have some tiny little fur-balls that we love so much, 3 cats and one puppy.

Something I have definitely taken away from my childhood is a love for movies and gaming. In my opinion there are a few elements that make the perfect movie and game:
Quirky characters, simple storytelling, a gorgeous soundtrack, and the power to cross generations and cultures.
My top examples of this are: A Princess Bride, Star Wars, The Sound of Music, and Studio Ghibli films.

My way to unwind at the end of the day is a hot chocolate and an episode of The Office, that I have watched way too many times.
Maybe I watch The Office too much. Maybe, possibly, it has grown from beyond an obsession and into a personality. Perhaps, this is the case. So what?
I totally believe scholars will be writing down the moments before and after the Office came out in history. They will absolutely need to document its effect on how the English language diverged.
My home is filled with quotes, jokes, and an actual super desk. Although the office makes my husband cringe - something about working in an office and PTSD.
